Spring 2010 - COLOR!
Color, color, color! It's the ultimate antidote to the winter blahs. Whether it is in the fashion, the hair and make-up or the living spaces in which your divas thrive, we have it covered in the Spring 2010 issue- the first of a new decade!
Another new year and more dolls to discover! The past year has been filled with excitement (our book FDQ: In Focus, the Barbie “Celebration” issue), celebrations (Jason Wu’s Tenth Anniversary with Integrity, Tyler’s Tenth Anniversary) and loss (Gene Marshall’s retirement after fifteen glorious years). It reminds us all that even in the perfect world of dolls, we lose old friends and make new ones, ever changing with the times.
Economic indicators tell us that the recession is over. Yes, really! Mind you unemployment is high, but they say that lags a bit as the stock market strengthens and the rich start shopping again. Another indicator of things looking up is fashion. Fashion is inextricably tied into culture, history,–and yes, economics– so it, too becomes an indicator. And if you saw the Spring 2010 shows, you saw what we saw– COLOR!
