Technology is everywhere. It always has been, though not in the guise we recognize today. In my adult lifetime the amount of innovation that has changed the way we live is extraordinary. Do you remember having to wait online at the bank to take out money? Missing a phone call because there were no answering machines? The idea of “appointment television” to sit down with your family and find out who shot J.R.?
Well, then, you are showing your age, and so am I. The “analog” age, which we thought was quite modern with its 8-track cassette tapes and VCRs, seems so quaint now. And so do the earlier days of doll collecting. |
