"I have a smoke tree outside my studio window. In
winter, after the leaves and the smoke blossoms fall away but the birds remain.
The cardinals chickadees, squirrels and doves are constant colorful entertainers
for me. I am one of those people who does not mind squirrels in my bird
feeders.
While trying to capture a particular bossy puffy male cardinal one
day, the idea of dressing him in cardinal's clothing came to mind. The quaint
and prim chickadee, the serious imperious dove and, yes, the romp and ruckus
