Things have settled back down here at Angelic Dreamz after our arrival home from IDEX. I hope that most of you were able to watch the IDEX events via our LiveStream page if you were not able to attend. If you didn't get a chance to, you can still see all the videos and posts from the event HERE. LiveStream has shown to be a great way we can allow people to have even the slightest bit of experience IDEX can bring. You will most likely be seeing future events from the Angelic Dreamz LiveStream account. The program is really great (there are other things you can follow too)! I encourage you to sign up for an account and Follow us!
That being said, most of the things in this blog are on the IDEX LiveStream in some way or another, but included in this I'll share a few pictures I took myself!
The rest of the gang traveled down on Wednesday, but I stayed behind a couple days to man the store. I arose (very early) Friday morning to make my trip down. With only one layover I arrived in Orlando around 3:30pm and went directly to IDEX which took place at the Doubletree Hilton at Universal. I took an hour or so to familiarize myself with trade floor, looking around at all the wonderful doll and figure displays alike. At 5pm the trade floor closed. And we darted back to our hotel for a quick freshen-up before heading over to the Debut of Dolls and Diamond Awards Cocktail & Banquet. After everyone rounded the artist signing tables to gather autographs, we all settled into our seats for dinner.
Angelic Dreamz won two awards. One for JAMIEshow Holiday Ginny.

And another award was won for our wonderful JAMIEshow Ling Lan - Flying Dragon
Ling Lan - Flying Dragon is SOLD OUT.
Proud winner of the two awards, George (on the right)!
As we were leaving the dinner we were happen to see that Mel Odom had arrived to IDEX, also after a long day of travel. We said hello and parted ways to our own hotel. Finally back at the hotel room we were all happy to get some rest until the next morning when we would return to the trade floor.
During the event we also debuted our new JAMIEshow Junior Mode collection. Meet Didi and Edie! As of now these dolls are available for pre-order with a late May estimated shipping date. These dolls are a youthful take on the JAMIEshow line. The bodies are the same as other JAMIEshow dolls, it is just the heads that vary in looks. They can still wear all wigcaps that fit our JAMIEshow dolls. One of the most noticeable differences is their eyes! These girls have inset eyes 8mm in size.

Saturday the trade floor was open from 9am to 5pm. We arrived at our booth around quarter after 8 to prepare for the arrival of customers. Around 11am Tim, George, Allison, and Mel went to prepare for the Gene Luncheon with Mel. For videos and photos of this event, please check out the previously mentioned IDEX LiveStream. Here's a quick picture I snapped of the elegant, lovely Gene later that day.
Around 1pm, the luncheon started, and I stayed back at the booth to address any purchases or customer questions. I have to say that you would be hard-pressed to find an unfriendly person in the IDEX crowd. During this time I had wonderful conversations with many collectors, each one more pleasant than the last. Finally, around 3pm, the luncheon concluded and Gene collectors were allowed to purchase the new doll. Many wig-caps sold, but we will be putting those that were not sold at IDEX back in stock, so if you were short on time and weren't able to grab one you liked, be sure to do so HERE. The next two hours went by fairly quickly due to the amount of business at our booth once Gene was available. The trade floor closed at 5pm again. We took a quick one hour breather before heading over to the BJD Disco Event. (Sponsored by Angelic Dreamz). This was the highlight of the weekend! Most everyone was decked out in disco gear, dinner was delicious, and the live entertainment was fabulous! Check out some photos! Here's one on this blog. For a video of the entertainment group that belted out disco songs for us, check out the IDEX LiveStream.
There was also a Angelic Dreamz doll available for purchase towards the end of the evening. This super adorable girl is named Jenny. She comes in 5 different colored outfit, and each of the dressed dolls is a super limited edition of just 4! Be sure to get a hold of her NOW!

After this eventful night, we went back to the hotel yet again.
Sunday morning we were back at IDEX around 9am, preparing for the trade floor to open at 10am. It was a productive day, and we were glad that each and every one of you that stopped by the booth did so. While we were sad to leave, we were also happy to have a exhausting weekend mostly behind us. The trade floor closed, and IDEX concluded, at 2pm on Sunday.
Here's the gang on closing day!

Again, we went to the hotel. I napped the rest of the day, as I think a few of us did. Feeling well-enough rested, we arose early the next morning to return to upstate New York. We'll see you next year, IDEX!
